3D PRINTING IN CLAY
The Royal College of Art recently purchased two 3D printers with the capacity to print in clay. This means digital designs can be translated into clay, opening up a new direction for me in working with clay. This small Memphis style vase is 10cm tall and took 45 minutes to print! The wet clay dries normally and is then fired slow and low to avoid cracks and explosions, You can print in any clay type, but you must test it first.
